Honda is hiding a serious safety recall. Right now there is a recall on HR-V's that affects the CVT transmission.
An incorrect value in the PCM may cause a pressure problem in the CVT under certain driving conditions, causing increased surface pressure on the belt leading to a partial or complete breakage as well as possible ring breakage.
If you go to the Honda Recall website and type in a Vin with this recall, it is omitted. They are calling it a "safety bulletin" but it is a recall.
If you own a Honda HR-V I suggest you reach out to your Honda store and ask them to run your vin through their system.
Honda dealers, we have a way to scrub your vins and get this data for you. Reach out today and schedule a call so we can show you how we can help you get these cars in and fix these recalls.
